Cold press coffee – smoothest coffee ever.
I’ve been making cold press coffee for myself lately. It’s so good! It makes the perfect cup of smooth strong coffee and I like my coffee cold so… extra perfect.
Before I go to bed I grind the beans coarsely and add them to the french press with cold water. I do not depress the plunger. When I get up I depress the plunger and pour myself a perfect cup of coffee.
My hot french press coffee is somehow never right. Am I grinding the beans to coarsely? Too fine? Is my water the wrong temperature? I know not.
There is no way to mess up this cup of coffee.Try it and report back to me, was it not perfect?!

I’d love to get fancier with my coffee, but I’m already at my max ability, I think. I grind organic beans every morning, put them through a boring old coffee maker, but then add real cream and sugar – it slaps my tongue with the strength of the coffee, and then soothes it with rich cream and sugar.
Perfect coffee, to me, should taste a lot like dark chocolate.

If I like my coffee hot, do you think i could heat it afterward? I do LOVE strong, smooth coffee.

I have the same question as Lara. I likes me some hot coffee. I don’t dig the room temperature stuff. Blechy.

i agree, room temp coffee is lame.
I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to heat this coffee up like any other coffee. it won’t explode or anything. unless you dynamite.

Well coldpress tastes different than regular coffee its smoother and a tad sweet, it is meant to be mixed with water after it is made (its very strong). Typically people mix it with ice water, but i suppose you could use warm water.
Do try the ice version even if you don’t like cold regular coffee, its a different taste.
