I do still love mary cassatt

When my mom realized I was interested in art she brought me home a book about mary cassatt, to be a positive female role model I guess.

So she was how I learned about the impressionists, not through her  (now, seemingly) more well known male contemporaries like degas and such. Inever quite forgave herfor not loving the next wave of young visonaries tho.

This is one f my favorite of her drawings – it was from after she saw an exhibit of japanese prints.
