Thank you for not being perky

I had a great time at mMaker Faire and Bazaar Bizarre this year!

I had two great booth bunnies and a couple of tiny booth gnomes to help me out and I sold almost all my spats. Only 7 left out of over 30 so I am excited about that.

I saw tons of friends at the fair and had a good time talking to new people. But, man, I am going to have to change the name of my company. I forgot about this from last year but HOLY CRAP PEOPLE! Shut up about Thank You For Not Being Perky! Srsly, if one more person comes up to me and says something like, “oops, maybe i am being too perky” or “what’s perky mean?” I will implode. I’m going to have to rename myself… How about “STFU!” or “DO NOT ENTER HERE ON PAIN OF DEATH” or “Thank You For Being A Huge Dumbass”.

Er, that aside. I had a great time so thanks everyone!

I have notes on how to improve my booth for future shows and ideas for a few new products.

As I anticipated sizing was a bit of a problem. I used to make all my spats about the same size but that’s only possible if I am making them to fit over boots as boot circumferences are all about the same between 11 – and 12.5 inches. People really do want the taller spats and that makes sizing difficult as you have to think about ankle and calf size. I made about 3 or 4 pairs of tall spats that ended up being SUPER small, a few that were medium and one that were big enough to fit me.

I need to make my sizes standard and make some designs in a couple of sizes.

I also have another new design that I’ll be adding in soon. I need a few more signs, the laser cutter at Vim’s work is gone so maybe I’ll use ponoko or go down to tech show in mountain view to make some.

Also, I need to get an imprinter and reliably do inventory before a show.
