Instructables – how to make butter with stand mixer

Food Renegade – make butter with a blender

over the hill and on a roll – 5 minutes to make butter

I made butter last night using the instructions on the 3rd link but really I think that made it harder than it had to be. using the cold water in the mixer or blender to help separate the buttermilk after the initial pour off. I think I need heavier cream for my next batch.

I knew I’d been keeping that cute little butter mold for so long!

I also made some peanut butter cookies last night from this recipe from Healthy cooking. I used peanut butter chips instead of chocolate ones. And DO NOT cook for 20 minutes unless u want burned cookies.

The next recipe I am trying is this browned rosemary butter recipe from Big Red Kitchen.

And then this Artisan Bead in 5 Minutes a Day recipe.

Thanks for the recipe links. I have been meaning to try my hand at butter for ages and just haven’t gotten around to it. Maybe this week!
