Pointy teeth! Wind up bird embroidery pattern.
I taught myself embroidery this weekend! I’ve done cross stitch and a few years ago at Maker Faire Jenny Hart showed me how to do a back stitch.
I’m making this wind up bird as a show piece for some embroidery kits that will be available at the Winter Bazaar Bizarre show coming up in a few weeks.
So, I used back stitch, stem stitch, french knots, satin stitch and a sort of made up weave fill. I think I’ll add a little rain cloud in there and make this into a pillow.
It was quite soothing and satisfying and I think I will invest in some time to learn more.
