Swimwear project…
Why do I torment myself? I have like 400 projects and yet I am insisting on making myself a swimsuit too. I swore this year I would not buy another crappy target swimsuit. But then I went to target and they had a ton of cute ones. Then I went to Macy’s and they had absolutely NOTHING. So back to Target I went and bought some cute ones. But I really need to replace my swimdress. I love that thing but it is old and saggy and threadbare.
I am going to use this kwik sew pattern:

Here are some fabric choices. I’m seriously leaning towards the rainbows. If you want to check out some highly amusing other possibilities go here.

I have too many projects right now. I need to get sewing for Bazaar Bizarre (I got the vendor gallery up today! Go check out all our awesome vendors for maker faire this year!). The CCE conference site needs tons more work. sewing, sewing, sewing. I’m serging a dress right now with some weird old 70′s fabric with trees all over that I got at white elephant or goodwill or somewhere. Maui in May, Vim’s birthday, Jack’s birthday. OMG MY BIRTHDAY. Okay, mine isn’t until July. But I’ll be 36!?! gasp!
Oh also? I got my serger finally! I’m taking a class in a couple of weeks and until thenI’m flailing around on it having fun.

I’m all for the red polka dots… or the pink cherries (on page 1 of the link). I’m in awe of you making your own swimwear. Maybe I should… no! no! too many projects already!!

OMG! I noticed on the spandex site there were wonder woman stars!! I bet you can guess what kind of swim outfit I’d like to make!! OK, but hmmm, I think I vote for black/red polka dots. Yeah, kudos on making your own swimsuit!!

I prefer the big pink stars, or the rainbows. Red and black just don’t work for me together.
Is a serger pretty much necessary? Zig-zag isn’t enough?

I like the rainbows. Red polka dots next, but for the dress, the rainbows are my favorite.

I think a regular zig zag stitch would work fine but since I just got this new serger I might as well use it!
