Madness, I tell you.I’m sitting here doing like 45 things at once. Emailing, researching for interviews, thinking about fabric, worrying that I should go home (i’m in a cafe), and thinking about all my millions of projects.

It’s suddenly all about layering. In fact one of the projects I would LIKE to be doing soonish is developing into an absurd amount of layering.

Starting with a swatch of fabric. freezer paper stenciling it, then adding stitching wth embrodery thread arounf the boarder of the stncil so that it look like a patch sewn on., scan it and manipulate in photoshop. Hhahahaha.

Why is my brain working this way? why not just MAKE A PATCH? Or do the whole damn thing in PS? Anyone? Anyone?

Fuckity cross stitch – finished!

Welp, here it is in all it’s glory – the fuckity fuck fuck cross stitch. I’m rather pleased with it.I enjoyed doing the cross stitching even tho I can easily see it making me go blind and get RSI. I’ve been obsessively watching the TV show Jericho while finishing up this project. Crossstitch is good one for zoning out and tv watching.

I wish someone would write up a research paper or get a collection of images for a book detailing the bawdy cross stitch samplers Victorian women used to do. All those bored winter nights were great for stitching up cute little cross stitch cocks. Or the frontiers women and all their upskirt cross stitch samplers.

“Mabel, honey, I’m doing ‘throbbing and veiny’ do you have a good pink I could borrow”?

A good homage would be a cunt coloring book done in cross stitch. Don’t you think?

I’ve got a bug up my ass about learning cross stitch, it must happen now. I need to do a fuckity fuck fuck cross stitch immediately.

I have purchased a starter pack of threads and researched some free patterns.
I’ll be using these cute titmice birds and this alphabet.

I like trying new crafty things but this is getting ridiculous. I need to SETTLE DOWN.

In other news I’ve also decided to get myself a serger…
